I've always been partial to the Sam Gopal version (sung by Lemmy of Motorhead fame).
Brian Auger,Julie Driscoll and Trinity did a version of Season of the Witch which is worth a listen. It's on the CD Open.
According to Led Zep's bio, they used to start most practice sessions with SotW. I wonder if they every recorded it...
Also covered by Richard Thompson on the Crossing Jordan soundtrack CD.
