Pitchfork is offering online, in chapters, the full length film People Who Do Noise, a documentary about the underground music/noise scene in Portland, Oregon. The film includes some great performances as well as interviews with folks like Yellow Swans and Redglaer. My own likes tend towards more melodic stuff, with noise as texture, rather than noise as the raison d'etre, but I cannot deny the creativity and energy of these musicians. And their influence on experimental music is undeniable.

Casper Electronics
Through a series of links I chanced upon Casper Electronics and Peter Edwards, a circuit bender and electronic musician/artist who has both an enviable amount of talent and equipment. The site offers an incredible array of his hacked toys and gizmos, tutorials, and then there's this:
Edwards offers this as a kit for $200.00, or you can buy just the circuit board, or even a pre-built unit.
